Pizza for a new beginning...

Today, Nurul ordered pizza for lunch. Why Pizza this time you may asked? This is partly due to my transfer to Sales & Marketing Department effective this July. A little celebration. After so much time taken to convince me that I should took the offer, I finally relented and agreed its time to move on. Don't get me wrong. I loved front office. I still do. We are like a happy family. Its what Oliva said to me that hit me straight to heart while photocopying our flyers for Ramadhan promotion, "Jangan sia-siakan bakat". How long the good thing will go on? Not forever right? One upcoming event that I'm looking forward while I'm a sales person is Matta Fair that will be held on 5 - 7 July 2013 at Suria Sabah. This will be my first chance to spread my wings and get to know the people in the industries. Its a small world after all. Next to worry is this year Annual Staff Party. Believe it or not. Managing Director personally requested me to organise it. And my first r...

Nasi Katok, Beringgis.

Nasi Katok, Beringgis. RM 2.00nett On the way to work, we stop at a stall selling Nasi Katok situated at Beringgis. Given good reviews from Nurul previously, can't wait sampling the nasi, myself. "Hari ini nasinya lembik sikit lai. Makcik mu masak terlebih air", explained the hawker friendlier than the front office oily manner. Wrapped in brown paper, Nasi Katok comprises of plain rice, sambal and a piece of fried chicken (hidden underneath the heap of nasi - treasure hunt lah pulak!). If you wonder what Katok mean, it comes from the knocking of the window where the bundled of nasi is sold (so I read in Mastika). So what I think about this Nasi Katok? Upon unwrapping the paper the fragrance trapped inside the bundled is released emanating your senses with pure pleasure. Just the smell of it makes you drool. The sambal is quiet tasty too while the sweetish flavour of the sambal melting with the rice in your mouth. You can all experience this in just RM 2.00nett. To be hone...

Sarah & Firdz

It doesn't sink yet that my brother is now married. Watching back the video feels like, is this a dream or what. Yet there's another wedding that I have to endure. Not mine, but my youngest brother's, Syu who is now 20. Due to time constraint, I missed out a lot in Firdz's. So I feel like I'm the guest instead of the part of the family. I hope I could involved at least in the early stages. Thankfully by some strange fate, I was introduced to Sarah, October last year few months prior to their engagement in January this year. I'm not good at making speech. I could only hope that everything will be going well with both of them. Family & Business. Dunia & Akhirat. Amin.

Upperstar, Suria Sabah

"Jangan pasang flash", said Rose in low voice as not to attract attention. Deep Fried Quail The room were lit a little dim and totally pack with people. I'm pretty sure no one recognised us. So why bother, anyway? Pineapple Juice as it called...  The drinks came a moment later. But we didn't come for that. Rose craved something meaty that day so she dragged me to Upperstar, Suria Sabah to had some. Is she pregnant or what? Or simply feeling gluttonous? I prefer the later. Grilled black pepper beef. Although I was feeling rather full and bloated, I still managed to eat Rose portion as well. My excuse was, I need more protein to build up my muscles than her. Ngeh! The food was super delicious, if you don't mind a crowded place. The price was quite affordable too. Our order was just around RM 50. The pic doesn't do justice to be honest... The meals was alot bigger than what you saw which explains why Rose can't finish her food in the first place. Since this w...

From Ampang with Love

I'm sorry for not updating sooner... Regret to say, I travel light this time so I don't bring my netbook with me.  Not to waste time, since I'm too busy lately, please savour the following pics, during my brother's wedding, pre & post. Family potrait taken before the Akad ceremony.  Before the ceremony taken place, the kadi mistakenly identify me as Pengantin. Probably just to cheer up the moment. Will I be the next? Naaahhhhh!!! Met at University, shared same interest... What a love story. I could not imagined a better person to be the wife of my brother. I instantly like her. Sara Yasmin. My youngest brother with his Superman hair, Syufaat, posed with both Mempelai The story didn't end here. More to come as both families start planning visiting each other later this year.

My Pink Teluk Belanga

I arrived at LCCT 10 minutes after Midnite. Next morning, me and my brother, went to Masjid Jamek to get my Pink Baju Melayu. I almost lost hope, when every sales person we met kept announcing, NO SIZE, every time I found the shade I wanted. Imagined me wearing Pinky Baju Melayu in XS or XXL? What a sight! Just before we became DESPERADO (Purple can be Pink?), a sales girl in Kamdar recommended us something I never had a thought before. I was like? Why not? Baju Melayu Teluk Belanga! The shade was not flattering enough but at least its in my size. The rest went well once you got what you want need. My Teluk Belanga and Songket Oh yeah, before leaving KK, I wrote an email to our hotel management. In that email, I mentioned about my decision to turn down the offer. So far I got no reply. I bet they will be getting at me back once I returned. Just be ready.

I was the Head of Front Office

It felt like dejavu when I first heard it. Somehow somewhere beyond my awareness I must have heard myself say yes to it. The offer were proposed to me this morning. There were two. Not one. It was swift but well-timed. As if not want to lose me the deal were sealed as quickly as possible. Jovially, I accepted the second offer. It will commence soon and I will be leaving Front Office. Before taking office, I will be flying to KL this Thursday. If there's anything for me to worry its my brother's upcoming wedding. And, yes! I haven't bought any pink Baju Melayu!

O-Katsu, Atsu-hime, Lady Tenshoin

Linda said the series was shown in TV Al-Hijrah. Not knowing I already had it on DVDs (I haven't watch TV programme for ages). It was marketed in parts. Each part contained 10 episodes. In total, the series had 50 episodes. So far I only found the first three parts. Today I just finished the first 30 episodes. Hopefully they would be releasing the last two parts soon. Anything Ooku, bring it on! I had few moments with the series. One that touch-est me most was the scene between the priest Gessho and vassal Saigo. Saigo was started losing hope when Gessho out of blue hold out his hands asking Saigo to hand over his life to him. "From now on I should take care of your life", said Gessho assuring Saigo that they still have hopes. But mass execution was inevitable. When they were, later both ordered to be killed, its time for Gessho to hold out his hand. "Its time for me to return your life back. In return, I give my life to you." Loyal servant to Lord Narianaki, th...
