Story with Pictures

Or the other way round. Picture with stories? Take your pick. Possibly my last Nasi Pattaya for April Right after dinner, the girls dragged me to K-Box. I had butterfly while singing these lines: "Belom juga kah kau menyadarinya... Aku lah yg pantas untuk kau cintai..." After that my performance went to the sea. Strange... Prelude to a new love story perhaps? Please prove me wrong. Garden Sea Front Our hotel offer camping package to minimum 30 persons. As you can see in the picture, this weekend we're hosting two group of campers from IPG (blue camp) and IKBN (red camp). I believed many activities has been organised, even myself wanted to join them... That Pokok Asam Took a walk before work just before the Sun is up has become one my favorite habit lately. I always wanted to live near the sea. And look at where I live now! I even work by the sea... *Dream come true* (^_^) The view has change a bit though but the effect on me while staring at that lapiz lazuli sky spotted...

I'm Coming Home!

Will be flying back to Kuching for this coming PRU. Hope everything will be fine. Safe journey to and back again! Oh yes! Please, please gaji on time. I'll appreciate that! And I promise, promise to take more pictures... He he he... P.S This feeling inside where does it come from? Feels like I'm falling in love... but with whom?

Like My Life Depends On It

Just I done purchasing my supplement, I went straight to Speedy. And there it was on the rack: "Hara-Kiri : Death of a Samurai". Although from the same director, Hara-Kiri was very unlike 13 Assassins. In 13 Assassins you would expect a lot of swords fighting but in Hara-Kiri, at most you probably sit watching with misty eyes. Nonetheless, its still a beautiful movie to watch. The story evolved around the fate of a ronin (masterless samurai) who feigned a seppuku to beg for money for his sick baby. The ronin ruse didn't work and poor ronin was forced to commit hara-kiri with a wooden blade. Imagined how painful that was. Learning the terrible tale, the young ronin's father-in-law took a revenge, but it all came to vain. He got himself killed while he already lost his son-in-law, grandson and daughter. Even worst, the one both ronins had an audience with, wasn't really a feudal lord. He was sort of a head in the house. So what the purpose he ran amok preaching abou...

Three Little Penguins...

... out of blue, asked me to be their Abang Angkat. These three little penguins happen to be a girl. Hardly spoken to, I could be easily passed as "Angkol" instead of "Abang Angkat" to this 15 years old girl. Back then in school, I resented "Angkat-angkat" idea and saw it as a lame excuse to get closer to a person we fancy but couldn't quite be together. Now I'm 34, not a school boy anymore, asking me to be one is for what gaining I could only guess. Unless, someone is crazy enough playing a prank on me. Statistic: Second time been asked to be Abang Angkat in less than six months.

Dear Stress, Let's Break Up!

Having a job below my qualification is quite an eye opener. Dealing with people who think they above everyone else is even more humbling. Yet, when people abuse and accuse of what you're not, taking you as some ignorant git. Think again. Are they really talking about you? There's nothing personal really. Insults, even compliments are not ours for keeping. Return back to them. Talking to myself like that can sometime makes me feel better. But there's a time, when you start loosing all your pretense, all you wanna do was just smack them in the face and tell them what they really deserved! I mean, hey, who do you think you are? Jangan tiru aksi ini di rumah Have any of you tried this one? Cool huh!

Growing Fond of You

Its kinda feels good, to realise that I don't have to go to work today. Two days off, not that long really, but away from all the drama, even for just a moment, could be pretty darn GREAT! So before I start my off days I went to visit my favorite shop: Speedy Video. I've been expecting new releases this month... One of them is "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey". Dear god, can I have blu-ray player this year? Aha there it is... Ooopssss... Blu-ray... Keep looking, keep looking! @ Wawasan Plaza Finally found it...! Envelope with hologram and the DVD cover The envelope outside was actually a hologram. It shows either Gollum or Bilbo (see left or the first picture). Remove the envelope aside, you'll find the actual cover (right). Me and my twin... I kinda liked the Gollum version though... More mischievous than the ever peaceful Bilbo's. Oh forget about that now. Well, how do we looked? What? Plain black with white font? Are you serious? With 10 video blogs featu...

Aged Gracefully Is My Motto Now!

Finally I had a chance to be face to face with Dr. I could hardly recognised her now. She aged alot since the last time I saw her. When she came to return the key, she showed no sign of recognition. So I thought it would be best if I don't introduced myself. I didn't want to make her already cramped scheduled into a Jejak Kasih session. We didn't talked much either just greet politely and say thank you before she left. I must have been 18 when she taught me and she couldn't be a lot older than me. At least mid to late 20s. But then again, I forgot I'm now approaching 40. Oh no! When was the last time I drink my Fabula?

Not Err So Merry Dinner

Taken before leaving Taman Teluk Villa, Putatan. From the look of it, its like a heavy storm  heading our way. Na'ah! Don't be fool by looks! Warung Kita was closed. So Kak Nong, Harbour City, Kota Kinabalu became our station! Tips : Don't wait for the waiter to get your order here. Shout if you must! Lousy waiter. Other than that just great even got free wifi access. The password is "pulutpanggang". Nora & Suzie gobbled ahead once we received our order. They were actually too hungry to even bother taking a picture (believe it or not!). Mine was Cendol 'O' ( RM 2.00nett ) and Nasi putih with Fried Chicken served with Salted Egg Yolk ( RM 12.90nett ). The taste? Not bad... Still we prefer food from the stall. *Burp* That's concludes our gossip session... ooopssss... dinner together for that evening. Before leaving we visit Sapri Bakery just few lots from Kak Nong's. I fancied nothing so bought nothing. Just have a look. Waiting for Nora at Shang...

So, Kiss Me

I was having my coffee while listening to Kiss Me by A New Found Glory when my mind start having flashes of the year 1997 - 1998 in UUM. Funnily at the time, we were liken by most of my contemporaries as the lab rat mice of the nation. Not so patriotic but it marked us as the first batch to start one year matriculation and follows by three years in Degree. Normal span would take about 6 years, and now we were rush to complete our degrees in four years. I survived, anyway, just like the memories I had back then! So it was not so surprising that I still recognised some of the names or even faces (no matter how much they have changed) during my first years. *Sweet Memories* As it happen, you can call it chance, I saw the name list of delegation from Fakulti Pengurusan Teknologi & Perniagaan, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn, few days ago. The delegates will be staying in our hotel for three nights. One of the name was unmistakably familiar! I googled and I can confirmed she was my lecturer...

H.Y.S.T.E.R.I.A

Mark quizzed me up on what the worst thing happen while working at Walai? To be real honest: NONE. Despite all the stress, I enjoy working there. Every day is like a new adventure. "Baru-baru ini saya dgr ada histeria tempat kamu...", Mark's comment caught me unguarded. It snapped me out of my revery. Seriously, that one never crossed my mind before. "Cuba kamu cerita..." I was Manager On Duty that night. About 30 minutes, prior to that incident, I received a report that snake was found in the room shared by five girls. By the time I arrived at the counter, most of what happen has already been handled by the night staff. Although the snake was caught and disposed, for precaution, the girls were moved to another room. But the worst wasn't over yet. While I updated the gist of what happen for my report, suddenly we heard people screaming and shouting. Led by the security staff, we went straight to the source of commotion. We first met by the the girls sprintin...

How To Stay Single?

First of all you must want to be single. Not just because you just met some cutie, then you decided not to. Being single is just like being in relationship: must have commitment. To remain single, however, depends on how you adapt with various situations. In my case this is fairly easy. I try to avoid as much as unwanted attention as possible. With my below average looks, this is quiet achievable. Sandwiched me, let say between the hottest guys in the room, 9 out of 10 people wouldn't notice I've ever been in that place! Tips: If somehow, a person still wants to talk to you, appreciate it. Because friendship does not have a face. Stay single could be pretty challenging if you are bishōnen . However, it is still possible to avoid attention at the slightest hint someone is attracted to you. What you need to do is just say something really honest. This is like giving them a test. Explain to them how you enjoy being single. See how they react. If you have some serious flaw, this i...

Life of Pi

My brother used to insist me on reading Life of Pi. He even shared the Ebook version of the novel on Dropbox to make it easier for me to access it. I only managed to go as far as Foreword. When the novel was finally made to the movie, Ameer asked me out to watch it. Poor guy, at the very last minute I cancelled it. Saying I was too tired to go. Now the DVD is out, what possible excuse should I give? The fog-like wasn't really a camera effect... My lense had been condensed with sweat... Huhuhu... Twice since I have passed it, before I decided to purchase a copy. I must say, it was the least entertaining movie I ever watched. I didn't even bother waiting the end credit started rolling, before I pressed the return button. Not until I watched "Remarkable Vision", a 19 minutes length documentary featured in the DVD, did I appreciate how much effort has been put on the making of the film. Based on the documentary alone, I think Life of Pi deserved a second viewing from me. ...

Me & Salina

50th Anniversary. RM 33.90. Exclusive at Popular Bookstore Just bought the 50th Anniversary Edition! Here are some stories I would like to share about this novel: I found out about the novel after reading an article while I was in secondary school. The interest grew more after seeing the author itself (A. Samad Said) at nearby coffee house. The author was one of the panel in a convention held in the town where my family lived in. The town was Kudat. Salina was originally written in Malay, but the copy that I had once was in English. It has been translated perhaps to reach more readers. Halfway completing the novel during my undergraduate years, the book was lost. I only saw Salina again, THANK GOD, in Malay on sale last month. Salina was published in 1961 and only reprinted 50 years later. I managed to get it in English, for obvious reason, Salina was meant to be enjoyed as it is: in MALAY. Now I got the copy, its time to return back to Kampung Kambing once again and finished the jour...

In Search for a Perfect Baju Melayu (For Wedding)

Few things to consider before buying: It has to be PINK, says Sarah the Bride. I know there's plenty of shades of PINK I can try on, but hopefully I could find the one that could work with my rather dark skin tone. Surely not PINK LADY.  How Love Tender? Oh Alizam, this is paint! I need Samping preferably in blue or white to match/compliment the Baju Melayu. Samping can comes with various choices too. What could it be? Batik? Songket? Sulam Cabut Sarawak. Look nice! If possible, I know this is crazy, I would like to get Sulam Cabut Sarawak done on my Baju Melayu. I never had one before. For this special occasion why not I get one eh? Anyone, not busy next week? Care to accompany me? Please be a darling? Please, please, please...
