Dua tiga hari ni aku rasa sudah mula timbul bibit2 risau. Risau memikirkan prospek yg hotel akan totally shutdown. Renovation or not, feels like the end is near.
Aku tak pernah risau mcm ni sejak bekerja di sini. Kau bagi apa aje bisa aku urus (with help). Skrg aku rasa mcm... Oh tidak!
All the interviews, made me nervous too. Made everyone nervous. Selagi aku boleh elakkan aku cuba elakkan. Bukan aku tidak mahu membantu, but I've experience enough not to say anything that might come to waste.
Lagipun I'm not one of the decision makers.
At this point kan, aku rasa mcm nak pergi jauh2 aje dari hotel tuh. Ambil cuti banyak2. Sekali sekali, banyak kali jugak terfikir nak resign aje.
Baru seminggu aku dah mula nampak corak yg sama. Tak tau lagi lah lepas dapat tarikh renovation esok. Entah apa pulak yg ditunjukkan kita tak tahu. Hopefully tidak membawa kepada kesudahan yg aku risaukan tuh.
Renovation menjanjikan peluang pasaran yg besar but we don't know that yet. I've seen satu pusat reflexology dibuka berdekatan tutup selepas bbrp bulan beroperasi. Biarpun pernah promote tempat ni dulu, tapi tak sempat nak pergi kali kedua pun. Skrg hotel rancang nak bukak spa bagai, ada orang ke nanti nak gi sana?
Tak tahu lah, ikut cakap dorang mmg takde cara dah nak majukan hotel. Mesti renovate!
Kalau aku pulak, put the renovation in long term plan let say 5 - 10 years. It is not the renovation that is important... The reputation is. Pakai apa yg ada dulu. Dari situ kita boleh figure out what the hotel do best. Where the money comes then hire the best person available.
Our hotel is mainly build for residential seminar, team building, retreats jadi management kena fokus kepada improving conference rooms and all other facilities dulu. Pada masa yg sama improve product hotel termasuk kitchen to cater room reservations bila no other function took place.
But now what? Belum ada tarikh renovation dah mula fokus pada aktiviti yg tak generate income. Kalau dragging tarikh pengumumannya mcm mana? Masih nak suh sental lantai? Buat gesture greetings? Improve this improve that. Buat borang tu buat borang ni.
Renovation or not, kalau cenggini tebiatnya, we're sure found ourself at the bottom of the sea slowly turn into a coral, .
But that me just saying kan?
